Offor lauds NNL leadership, says monthly awards motivation for Nigerian football

Head coach of Akwa United, Paul Offor, has commended the leadership of the Nigeria National League (NNL) for introducing monthly awards aimed at rewarding outstanding players and officials.

Offor, who emerged as the best coach for December, January, and February, described the initiative as a major step forward in motivating stakeholders across the league, noting that the recognition has reinforced his commitment to striving for greater achievements.

He said the award has added a new level of competitiveness to the league while also encouraging professionalism among players and officials.

Offor’s dominance in the coaching category saw him sweep all three months under review, underlining his consistency and impact.

He said, “It has not happened in the Nigerian League before that players get some amount of money immediately they win a match right there in their dressing rooms. This is unprecedented in Nigerian football, and we have no option but to commend the NNL and urge them to continue with the good work they are doing.”
