THE remains of former Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan player, Ogbein Fawole, will be buried on March 4, 2017 in his hometown in Bayelsa State, the family has announced.
Younger brother of the deceased, Harry Fawole, speaking to Tribunesport on Wednesday, said the Christian wake for the late Ogbein would be held on March 3, while the burial would take place the following day.
He said “the date for the burial of our brother, the late Ogbein Fawole has been fixed by the family. The programmes are scheduled for March 3 and 4, 2017.
“March 3 is for the wake, while March 4 is scheduled for the burial and other necessary programmes,” Harry told Tribunesport.
The corpse of the former defender, who died early this month in Lagos following a heart attack, has also been deposited, for now, in a mortuary in Delta State prior to the burial in his hometown in Bayelsa State.
The younger Fawole also lauded the commitment of the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Yomi Salami, who he said has been in constant touch with the family for updates on the funeral arrangements.
