The Nigerian starlet impressed as the Hoops drew with Reading
Olamide Shodipo continued his excellent first impression with Queens Park Rangers as he contributed an assist in the Hoops’ 1-1 draw with Reading on Saturday.
The 19-year-old wideman only signed his first professional contract with the Londoners earlier this year, but has impressed Rs fans with an encouraging series of showings.
He made his first decisive contribution of the season on Saturday—contributing Rangers’ assist as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side took a point from Reading.
Dublin-born Mide—who has represented the Republic of Ireland at U-21 level—forged the opener for QPR in the 14th minute, when he played in Pawel Wszolek after a fine run.
However, QPR weren’t able to hold onto their lead and were pegged back seven minutes later when United States international Danny Williams beat Alex Smithies.
Shopido—making his sixth appearance of the season—was replaced in the 54th minute as the home side went in search of a winner.
The draw leaves Nedum Onuoha and his teammates down in 14th in the Championship on 16 points, having won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
