Ogenyi Eddy Onazi
Super Eagles’ assistant captain, Ogenyi Eddy Onazi fancies a possible match-up between Nigeria and the Three Lions of England.
AOIFootball.com understands that both countries could face-off in a pre-World Cup preparatory game sometime in March 2018 and the former Lazio man, who almost recently moved to England, said it would be an interesting game if it sees the light of day.
“Wow, that would be another great game for us to play before the World Cup and that will be a wonderful preparation for us to really test our ability before the World Cup,” the Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder said.
Onazi also praised the Nigeria Football Federation for the last game against Argentina and also hailed his colleagues for doing the nation proud, winning 4-2 against the former world champions.
The leadership of the NFF plan to announce venues and dates of arranged pre-world cup friendly matches after the draw on December 1st.
