Abia Warriors coach, Okey Emordi has revealed that Super Eagles midfielder, Paul Onobi as well as another star signing, Dele Olorundare are yet to hit form.
Emordi revealed this while speaking after his team defeated Gombe United 1-0 in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day six game last Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
Onobi, who returned to the NPFL after a stint in Finland, and ex-Sunshine Stars striker, Olorundare have yet to feature for their new team this season.
Emordi, a former Rangers coach said the duo are yet to hit form in training.
“For Paul [Onobi], he is experienced. Yes, not all the players will get to play at the same time but truth is that you have to convince us from the training that you are ready to play.
“Paul has not really done that. The same goes for Olorundare. He is gradually picking up and when he gets there, surely, he will get to play,” Emordi, who coached Enyimba to win the 2004 CAF Champions League, title said.
Meanwhile, former Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) forward, Sunday Adetunji scored the match winner for the Umuahia-based side with a header into the bottom corner off a corner kick with five minutes left.
