Onome Ebi undergoes successful arm surgery

The Nigeria international went under the knife in Abuja following an injury coped at the African Women’s Cup of Nations and the surgery went well

FC Minsk defender Onome Ebi underwent a successful right arm surgery on Tuesday following an injury she sustained during the 2016 African Women’s Cup of Nations.

Following Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Cameroon in Yaoundé on Saturday, the 33-year-old was taken to the National Hospital, Abuja upon arrival in the country.

“Thank you Lord God for safe surgery, receive all thy glory in Jesus name amen,” Ebi wrote on Instagram.

Alhough, the medics did not put a timescale on the rehabilitation process, the defender would seem certain to miss the first quarter of 2017.
