Super Falcon’s forward, Asisat Oshoala, has been nominated alongside 29 others for the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or.
The 30-player nomination list for the award handed out by French magazine France Football was revealed Wednesday.
The Barcelona star was shortlisted following her heroic performance at the recently concluded Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand and a fantastic season with her club.
Also making the list are Chelsea and Australia star, Sam Karr and Manchester City star, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, among others.
The Ballon d’Or event is scheduled to take place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France on October 30, during which the recipients of the Ballon d’Or 2023 will be unveiled.
