Osimhen can become an extraordinary player -Spalletti

Napoli coach, Luciano Spalletti reserved special praise for Victor Osimhen following his side’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Roma this past weekend, as he described the Nigerian star’s potential as ‘extraordinary’.

Osimhen swiftly became one of Europe’s hottest properties in the last couple of months and has subsequently been linked with big names such as Liverpool and Manchester United.

The 23-year-old was one of his side’s top performers in their most recent league outing, where he scored a wonder goal against Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

After the game, Spalletti praised Osimhen’s exploits and even mentioned that he has one of the best headers of the ball he had ever seen. The Napoli mentor claimed that Osimhen will become extraordinary once he gets his ‘emotions sorted out’.

“Osimhen has these sudden changes of pace that only he can do,” Spalletti told DAZN, as per Football Italia.

“When he gets his emotions sorted out, he will become extraordinary.”

“At times he tries to do everything himself, attacks the ball and the goal without realising where his teammates are. But he is physical, he is strong and we need him to complete the squad, also in the air.

“He is one of the best headers of the ball I have ever seen. We didn’t give him as much service last season, but he was also decisive when defending on set plays and resolving a lot of issues for us there.”
