Osimhen is unstoppable —Italian pundit

Paolo Del Genio, is impressed with the performances of Victor Osimhen this season and has highlighted the physical qualities of the Nigeria international.

Despite missing four games through a muscle-related injury, Osimhen is the leading scorer in the Italian topflight with nine goals in 11 appearances, and also found the net in a Champions League clash against Ajax Amsterdam to take his tally to ten goals across all competitions.

The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner has already attracted interests from European powerhouses such as Manchester United and Chelsea on the back of his brilliant form.

Osimhen has been one of Napoli’s top performers, helping the Blues remain un- beaten after 15 games in the Serie A.

Blessed with aerial ability, the 2019 Africa Cup of Na- tions (AFCON) bronze medallist is a physical and mobile center forward who can also create chances for his teammates.

In quotes relayed by Area Napoli, Del Genio said on Radio Kiss Kiss during the Radio Goal broadcast: “He’s a beast, unstoppable, he [Osimhen] has this incredible energy and it’s difficult to keep up with him for 90.”

“There’s nothing to improve on physical excessive power, on the contrary, at best it would even be contain at times.

“While on the technical aspect we see that there is a great job, useful for himself and much more useful for the team. Now Osimhen is doing very well for the team”.

Osimhen joined Napoli from French Ligue 1 club Lille in 2020 in exchange for 70 million euros, making him the most expense acquisition in the history of the Parthenopeans.
