Ozil informs teammates he will sign for Manchester United

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is so confident that he will join Manchester United in January he has started telling teammates a deal is already done and dusted.

According to ‘The Mirror’, who have lead with the story on their back page, Ozil has told his Gunners pals he is nearing a January move to Old Trafford.

The German World Cup winner’s current Arsenal deal expires next summer, meaning he could leave on a free transfer next summer, but Arsene Wenger, who will be hoping to recoup as much of the £42m he brought Ozil for in 2013, recently admitted that a January exit could be on the cards.

Despite Jose Mourinho publicly admitting he believes Ozil is the best N0 10 in the world, the United boss does have his doubts over Ozil’s lack of desire and inability to defend.

The duo worked together at Real Madrid and have always had a healthy relationship, but it remains to be seen whether a move will actually come to fruition.
