Head of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has erased Emmanuel Dennis’ name from the list of players invited for Nigeria’s friendly against the Fennec Foxes of Algeria scheduled to take place on September 27, allnigeriasoccer.com has gathered.
The Nottingham Forest striker, Dennis, was handed a late call-up as a replacement for Olympiakos loanee Henry Onyekuru who is down with an injury.
However, Dennis, who last played for relegated Premier League side, Watford, has recently been in touch with the Super Eagles coaches, informing them that he won’t honour the invitation due to an undisclosed ailment.
The Kwara Football Academy product was in action for Forest in the last round of matches in the English Premier League, coming off the bench for the last two minutes of their 3-2 loss to Fulham at the City Ground.

It is understood that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will not call a replacement for the fomer Club Brugge forward.
Meanwhile, 18 of the invited players were already in the camp on Monday, meaning only six players are now being expected to link up with the team in Algeria anytime from now.
The players already in the camp are Kelechi Iheanacho, Francis Uzoho, Ebube Duru, Saviour Godwin, Ademola Lookman and Adeleye Adebayo.
The Super Eagles were scheduled to have their first training session on Tuesday night ahead of the friendly against their arch rivals, Algeria.
