Pogba describes Turin as ‘home’ ahead of United trip to Juve

Paul Pogba says he cannot wait to return ‘home’ when Manchester United travel to Juventus in the Champions League next week.

The Frenchman spent four years in Turin between 2012 and 2016, winning four Serie A titles and two Coppas Italia before rejoining United for a then-world record fee.

And Pogba believes there was an element of fate involved as United were drawn in the same group as the Italian giants.

“For me, it’s a pleasure. Turin is my home — that’s where I scored my first professional goal.

“[Juan] Cuadrado, [Paolo] Dybala, [Leonardo] Bonucci … I hear from them, we speak from time to time. We were a family, so of course we stay in contact,” he said.

“When you’re alongside players like Pirlo, Gigi [Buffon] or [Giorgio] Chiellini, you can only learn.

“Every day, in training, you try to observe them. Even as an established player, you can always learn from those sorts of men.”
