Chairman of Prime Value Academy (PVA) Igbo-Ora, Oyo State, Chief David Popoola, has said with God’s guidance, genuine intentions and confidence, his Academy will produce players that will represent Nigeria at the international level in the near future.
Popoola stated this after his team’s victory at the Legacy Pitch, inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos where they triumphed 3-2 on penalties over Mainlander FC after 2-2 draw during the regulation time. He stressed that there is still room for improvement for his young and talented team.
Popoola, however, expressed happiness that he is playing his part in changing the lives of the young boys by offering them a platform to achieve their dreams and become better persons and footballers.
”When I first saw these boys trained in Igbo-Ora, Oyo State, I was overwhelmed with the kind of talents that was displayed. And I didn’t think twice before I decided to adopt this team because I know by the special grace of God, world-class players will emerge from this group of young players.
“What I have done so far is just a tip of the iceberg. I have a lot to invest in these boys. I pray they continue to work hard, improve and give their best at all times and I know the sky will be their limit,” Popoola said.
Meanwhile, the team’s general manager, Bosun Owolabi Adeyemi, said this team will soon take the nation by storm in a few years because of the calibre of young, talented and gifted players in their fold saying people should watch out for prime Value Academy.
“I want to say without any iota of doubt that this team is a team everyone should watch out for. We are based in Igbo-Ora but we brought them to Lagos to have a feel of the National Stadium.
“These players will be household names in the near future. I thank my chairman for the confidence he has in these lads. I will continue to give my best to make sure all his efforts will be productive in the future,” Adeyemi said.
