….Galtier denies allegations, set to launch legal proceedings
In a recent development in French football, PSG manager Christophe Galtier has been accused of racism and Islamophobia during his time as the manager of Nice.
The allegations were made in a leaked email by former Nice director of football Julien Fournier, who claimed that Galtier had made comments about having “too many black and Muslim players” on his team.
Following the publication of the leaked email by French football reporter Romain Molina, local French media outlet Nice-Matin reported that during a five-game winning streak, Galtier had asked Muslim players not to observe Ramadan.
It was also reported that some players accepted this request, while others, including Hicham Boudaoui and Jean-Clair Todibo, refused.

In response to these allegations, Galtier’s lawyer Olivier Martin issued a statement to AFP in which he denied the claims and contested them “with the greatest firmness”.

He also announced that legal proceedings would be taken in response to the “insulting and defamatory remarks” allegedly made in Fournier’s email.
Meanwhile, PSG has launched an investigation into Galtier’s actions, according to RMC, and it has been suggested that the club’s chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, wants to oversee the investigation himself. If the allegations are proven to be correct, Galtier could be removed from his position at the club.
Fournier, who has been accused of leaking the email containing the original information, has denied that he did so and suggested that the email was sent after he left the club.
He stated that he is “in no way at the source of the circulation of this internal information, which went back a year from the time I left the club.”
The allegations of racism against Galtier are serious and could have significant consequences for his career. As a highly respected manager in French football, Galtier’s reputation is on the line, and the outcome of the investigation could have wider implications for the sport as a whole.
