Verratti likely to stay at PSG as club sends defiant message.
PSG send defiant message to Barcelona amid reports of their interest in midfielder Marco Verratti.
According to a report today in ‘Marca’, a PSG spokesman has declared that Marco Verratti is not for sale at any price and that they will not entertain any further offers for the midfield maestro.
The French side see him as a vital part of their team and one of the first names on the teamsheet and as such are not willing to even consider his departure. Despite the risk of simply encouraging the spread of rumours, by singling out this supposed interest, the Parisians have made it very clear that whatever they offer, there is no deal to be done.
The PSG spokesman declared that “the price isn’t €80 million nor is it €100 million, he simply is not for sale” before adding that the Paris-based side are in fact in talks with Verratti about improving his contract and keeping him in the French capital.
