Morocco players celebrating their victory over Portugal
France defender, Jules Kounde, has admitted that the Atlas Lions of Morocco will give the title holders a fight when both sides clash in the semi-final of the 2022 World Cup.
The match is billed for the Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, tomorrow at 8:00pm Nigeria time, with Cesar Arturo Ramos from Mexico assigned as centre referee.
Morocco at the ongoing Qatar 2022 became the surprise team of the tournament following their victories over Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
“It’s remarkable to have conceded just one goal, it’s going to be difficult, we’re going to have to play our best game to score.

“We are aware of their ]Morocco] qualities, although they don’t often have possession. They quickly try to combine and find the wingers.
“These are things that we take into account. From a defensive point of view, we have to communicate a lot and be very tight,” the Barcelona star as per talksport.com.
Kounde also acknowledged the poor defensive record of the Les Bleus at Qatar 2022 despite their passage to the last four.
“We know there is room for improvement, avoidable goals, avoidable errors.
“It’s a new defence, we haven’t played a lot of games together, and a defence needs time to settle and progress,” Kounde said.
