Enugu Rangers coach, Gbenga Ogunbote
Enugu Rangers coach Gbenga Ogunbote was happy to see his side secure their third win of 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season on Thursday.
Rangers beat Rivers United 1-0 thanks to Kelvin Itoya’s goal. As a result, Ogunbote’s side has moved from 16th to ninth position on the NPFL table with the win over United.
Speaking to the Rangers official website, Ogunbote stated that the team will look to improve on their performance in subsequent games and move further up in the table.
“It was a good match. I am happy that we are getting it right,” Ogunbote said.
“Rivers United is not a small team any day and they showed why they are where they were last season,”
“The goals may not be coming in the desired numbers for now,” the Rangers gaffer continued.
“But I assure our teaming fans, supporters and sponsors that we shall make them proud at the end of the season.”
Rangers are set to take on Abia Warriors in their next league match on Monday.
