Rashford “wants more” at Man Utd amid transfer speculation

Marcus Rashford has admitted that he is living the “dream” of playing for Manchester United, however, the forward admits he wants to achieve more with the club.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer with Arsenal legend Ian Wright telling the young forward he “should be thinking about” leaving United this summer.

Contrary to Wright’s claims, Rashford is Mourinho’s most-used player during his tenure at the club and the Manchester-born forward claims he remains keen on achieving honours with the 20-time Premier League champions.

Since the Portuguese coach’s arrival back in 2016, Rashford has made 97 appearances for United, nullifying arguments claiming he isn’t being the time to perform.

When told about this statistic, Rashford replied: “I wasn’t aware of it before I saw it and it’s something to be proud of.”

Having won the Europa League, the League Cup and FA Cup since breaking into the first-team at United, Rashford has admitted that he is still hoping for more from himself and his fellow United teammates.

He added: “We always want more and we always want to show progression individually and as a team, so the numbers don’t really matter as much as the results do to me.

“A lot of people have that dream, so you’re not only doing it for you; you’re doing it for a lot of people that you might not even know, but there are a lot of people who had the dream of playing for their local team when they were young.

“So I think you are playing not only for yourself and for the club, but for all the people that are living that dream through you.”
