Real Madrid lineup for the Super Cup

Zidane has come up with a plan to overcome Barcelona in the first leg of the Supercopa. According to ‘Cadena COPE’, Cristiano Ronaldo will not start at the Camp Nou. This is Real Madrid’s starting XI yet to be confirmed officially.

Not many changes in defence. As usual, Keylor Navas will start in goal, with Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Rafael Varane and Dani Carvajal making up the back line.

In the middle of the park, Casemiro, Kroos and Kovacic will hold the team together, with Modric suspended for the clash. Up front, Isco, Bale and Benzema.

Cristiano Ronaldo will start on the bench, as reported by ‘COPE’. The Portuguese star played the final minutes of the UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United, but Zidane doesn’t want to force the striker’s return to the team.

Zidane considered the possibility of resting Marcelo and handing left-back Theo Hernandez his official debut. However, ‘COPE’ believe the Brazilian is favoured to face Barcelona.

The starting lineup would be: Keylor Navas, Marcelo, Ramos, Varane, Carvajal, Casemiro, Kroos, Kovacic, Isco, Bale and Benzema.
