Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo initiated talks with Juventus before the World Cup, it has been revealed.
Ronaldo and Juve are now in negotiations about a stunning €100m move to Turin.
And Premium Sport says it was Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, who made the first move last month. A meeting was held with Juve sports chief Fabio Paratici where Ronaldo made it clear he’d welcome a move to Turin.
It was made clear to Paratici that Ronaldo would accept a move to Juve if they put a contract offer on the table worth €30m-a-year – and without issues regarding sponsors and image rights.
Ronaldo is currently on €21m-a-year at Real and a prime reason for his unhappiness has been the reluctance of the club to upgrade his terms.
