Real president threatened Ronaldo with Messi

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez warned Cristiano Ronaldo that he would buy Lionel Messi for €200 million if the forward left to join PSG, according to France Football.

The magazine reports that, in a secret text message sent to a friend back in 2012, Ronaldo reveals that he wants to join the Ligue 1 side and that it would improve his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or.

And when the Portuguese apparently communicates that desire to Perez in a meeting, the Madrid chief tells him that, if he finds a club willing to pay €200m, he’ll activate Messi’s Barcelona release clause with the cash.
