Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has played down Marcelo’s hamstring injury after he limped off against Real Betis.
The Brazil international started the game at the Benito Villamarin but he was forced off the field after just 30 minutes.
Madrid were pushed all the way by Betis in a thrilling game on Sunday night, with Zidane’s men eventually securing a 5-3 win away from home.
Marcelo complained of a hamstring problem and he is now a doubt for the second leg of the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Zidane tried to play down the injury during his post-match interview.
He said: “Hopefully, it’s something small. Tomorrow [Monday] we’ll see. He said that the sensation is that it is small, but we will see in a few days. We must wait for the test results before confirming anything.
“It was a crazy game, back and forth. I like it because it means we played. Betis did fantastically and played very well. They controlled the last half an hour of the game. I am happy at the end. I’ll keep the fact that we scored five.”
