Retirement not on my mind —Lahm

Bayern Munich captain Phillip Lahm says he is not ready to retire at the end of the current season.

The comments come after earlier this season revealed he could potentially make an early exit from the game, despite having a year to run on his contract.

“In this moment, it is my second last [midseason] training camp,” he told Bild.

“My contract still runs until 2018.”

Lahm says there is still plenty of improvement for his side in the back half of the season.

“We have to find a better balance between attack and defence,” he said.

“In many games it already worked well, but there were times this season where it has not been perfect.”
