Former Huddersfield Town, Rob Green’s transfer to Chelsea is understood to be close to completion.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper is a free agent, having left Huddersfield Town at the end of last season, and is thought to be preparing to have his medical later this afternoon (25 July) with personal terms understood to have been agreed, according to The Telegraph.

Green has made 257 Premier League appearances, but didn’t play for Huddersfield’s first team during their debut Premier League season.
His previous clubs include Norwich, West Ham QPR and Leeds, while Green has also played 12 times for England and was a member of the Three Lions’ 2010 World Cup squad.
The short term move will ensure new manager Maurizio Sarri has cover for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero, with Eduardo and Jamal Blackman out on loan.
