Rohr, a blessing to Nigeria ―Agali

Former Super Eagles’ star Victor Agali is of the view that Coach Gernot Rohr could spring a few surprises ahead of naming his 35-man provisional World Cup list, admitting the Franco-German is keen to give equal opportunity to every player in other to select the best hands for the country.

The former OGC Nice attacker, who spoke to AOIFootball.com, said Nigerians should believe in Rohr because, after Bonfrere Jo and Clemence Westerhof, the Franco-German is the next best thing in terms of foreign coach to have happened to the country.

“I believe we all must be patient with Rohr because after the likes of Westerhof and Bonfrere Jo, I believe Gernot is another blessing to Nigerian football. He tries his best to carry everybody along, and gives players’ equal opportunity to be selected and listens to all is scouting and technical team.

“I know Gernot Rohr is fair to all and is committed to developing the image of our football. He will decide on that. I can’t comment on if he will stick with the ones he has tested and know or not, but may be one or two new faces, just maybe. I strongly believe we should scout more and know more of about opponents,” Agali concluded.
