Gernot Rohr has urged coach Florence Omagbemi to take advantage of her quick attackers at the ongoing African Women’s Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Rohr who hopes to cheer the team to success at the continental showpiece expressed worry over Ghana’s threat but asked them to emulate the team spirit in the Super Eagles.
“She [Omagbemi] has done a good work because I see beautiful things with this team [Super Falcons],” Rohr told Goal.
“They did well in the training because they have a good team to win the title. It is not going to be easy because a lot of good teams are going to be there. Already, Ghana is in their group.
“But they gave good spirit and can do something very good for Nigeria, I hope they win.
“A lot of teams are in the group, I will go there to go and see one or two games and to help them if they want.”
“My advice to the team is to play simply, play together and have a good philosophy, good spirit – just like we have in the Super Eagles,” he continued.
“Everybody must play for the team at first. Not just running. I see they have a very fast attack, so they must play to profit from the speed of the attackers.
“I think behind they are okay and play without any risk which is good. They can play simpler and go quicker with the next pass. I see the movement is good and the spirit of this team is okay.”
