Ronaldo confirms Real Madrid stay… for now

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to continue at Real Madrid and the club are aware, but they will wait for his court hearing on the 31st of July, the day it could all change for the Portuguese superstar.

As reported by ‘As’, Cristiano Ronaldo’s court appearance could change his future at Real Madrid, even though the club know of his desire to stay, the outcome of Ronaldo’s testimony on the 31st of July will be crucial to determine his future.

Ronaldo told the club’s directives that he is one-hundred per cent focused on Real Madrid, following Florentino Perez’s public backing of the striker.

CR7 felt he had the club’s support and decided to change his plans, in order to see out his contract which runs until 2021. However, the Portuguese star is aware that his court hearing could alter the direction of his profesional career.

Ronaldo will declare in front of the judge at 11am on the 31st of July, to defend himself against four counts of tax fraud, that allegedly took place between 2011 and 2014, and which would amount to a total sum of 14.7 million euros.

The prosecutors have already prepared the interrogation Cristiano Ronaldo will be subjected to, as CR7’s future in Spanish football depends on the outcome of this preliminary hearing.
