Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to be in a relaxed mood whilst training with his national side on Tuesday, ahead of their final two World Cup qualifiers.

Portugal have won seven straight games in World Cup qualifying, and will likely make it eight against Andorra on Saturday, but the European champions are not guaranteed to be at the World Cup next summer.

Ronaldo and co. head into their final two qualifiers three points behind Switzerland, the Group B leaders, who they face next week in the all-important last match in their qualifying campaign.

The Swiss national side have been in impressive form during the qualifying campaign, winning all of their eight qualifiers, including an opening 2-0 victory over a Portugal team without Ronaldo, to top the group at this stage.

Everything is pointing towards the clash in Lisbon next Tuesday to see who will take first place in the group and secure automatic qualification to the tournament in Russia.

Portugal’s goal difference is nine superior to their Swiss rivals, helped by Ronaldo’s European-best 14 goals, meaning if they overcome Switzerland on Tuesday, they will top the group.

Whoever finishes second in the group will likely face a play-off in order to book a place at next summer’s World Cup.
