Ronaldo reveals the players to replace him

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke about the future of European football after picking up the UEFA Player of the Year award, and he named the players who can take his mantle.

Cristiano Ronaldo travelled to Monaco to witness the Champions League draw and take home another award, cementing him as the top player in European football.

But the Portuguese star is aware that his dominance can only last for so long, and has already started to think about the young talents who could succeed him.

After picking up the UEFA award, reporters asked Ronaldo to name the potential successor to his throne: ‘A very good question. I see some with great potential: Asensio, Mbappe, Neymar, Dembele, Hazard, Rashford … and some others’, Ronaldo said.

The Portuguese ace seemed optimistic about the prodigious talent rising through the ranks of football in the continent: ‘In the next generation there are at least 10 players with very, very great potential’, he added.

With some of these young players already linked with record-breaking transfers this summer, who will be the one to follow Ronaldo’s footsteps and become the best player in European football?
