“The way we qualified in the group made us very confident,” Iwobi tells CNN Sport.
“We’ve played against some big teams, some big countries, so we are very confident that we can go far.”
Tribunesport recalls that Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, few days ago, warned Nigerians not to expect magic from the Nigerian team, saying that the team were still behind in reckoning of big countries of the world.
Speaking on Sportske Novosti, Rohr reminded all that Nigeria is ranked 47th in the world and as such a semifinal wish is a tall dream.
“As for Nigeria, I think getting out of the group will be a great success, one must not forget that we are still 47th in FIFA ranking.”
