Super Eagles talisman Ahmed Musa has dedicated the Budweiser Man of The Match award he won on Friday at the ongoing World Cup in Russia to his wife.
The winger who scored all goals when Nigeria pipped Iceland 2-0 on Friday in a group D match at the ongoing Russia 2018 now has four goals to emerge Nigeria’s all-time highest goal scorer at the World Cup with four goals.
Musa who has just returned to his parent club, Leicester City following a loan spell at CSKA Moscow in January made this known in an exclusive interview with www.scorenigeria.com.ng after the game.
“Yes, I dedicate this award to the love of my life, my beautiful wife, who has been very supportive during my ups and downs. She is a true wife,” he told www.scorenigeria.com.ng.
The former Kano Pillars forward also appreciated the fans for their support which greatly inspired him.
“I just wish to appreciate the fans that kept chanting my name and spurred me to do what I did against Iceland.
“It was not easy but I’m delighted the fans kept pushing us until we were able to get the vital goals. I really appreciate them because they made me feel very much at home and relaxed,” Musa who also scored a brace against Argentina at the 2014 World Cup.
