Russia 2018 W/Cup: Edo sex workers boss laments Italy miss

Chairperson, Association of Prostitutes in Nigeria (APN), Edo State chapter, Madam Jessica Osas has charged the Super Eagles not to disappoint over 170 million Nigerians at the FIFA World Cup billed for Russia in 2018.

She. However, lamented the inability of the Italian national team to qualify for the mundial after playing goalless at home with Sweden in the second leg of the World Cup play-off having lost by a lone goal in the first leg played in Sweden.

“The inability of Italy to qualify for the World Cup has devastated us greatly because we have been giving same support to Italy over the years whereby we have men and women plying their trade without any hitches. Italy has been so lucrative for our people because the system over there works perfectly unlike in other countries. So, not qualify for World Cup in Russia is a big blow to us, and with the level of support given to the team over the years,” she laments.

Madam Osas, who was at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin City to watch the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s U-20 national team and their Moroccan counterparts on Saturday which ended 5-1 in favour of Nigeria, stated this in an exclusive chat with Tribunesport after the match.

She noted that the Super Eagles should not rest on their oars as all eyes would definitely be on them in Russia, being the first team in Africa to qualify for the World Cup, and with the recent 4-2 victory over Argentina.

“I am just appealing to the Nigeria Football Federation to put in place the necessary preparation for the Super Eagles to perform credibly at the Mundial in Russia. They should not disappoint us at this stage because of the passion attached to football which is regarded as the king of all sports.

“Nigeria have all it takes to do well and surpass their previous second round ticket, but to at least reach the quarterfinals or semifinals and if possible, get to the final which is our ultimate. The players are there, it is just for the coach to go there with quality legs and not mediocres.
