Russia 2018: With Ronaldo, Messi, everything is possible ―Mourinho

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made a huge claim on Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to report.

Jose Mourinho is of the view that Portugal has a chance at the summer’s World Cup because of Ronaldo.

Portugal has not won the World Cup but won the Euro Championship in 2016 hosted by France, The World Cup is the only silverware missing from the gallery of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has won the Champions League with Manchester United and Real Madrid and has won the Ballon d’ Or on five occasions he has also won the Premier League, La Liga, FA Cup, Copa del Rey and World Club Cup.

“Portugal has an interesting squad.

“Without Cristiano, it would be impossible. But with him nothing is impossible.

“I believe that the Argentinian national team without Lionel Messi wouldn’t be a contender.

“But with him, it is one of the favourites,” Mourinho told ESPN Brazil.

His main rival Lionel Messi is also aiming to win the World Cup after he missed out the final to Germany in the last edition in Germany in Brazil.

This year’s World Cup kicks off in Russia on June 14 with Germany, France, Spain and Argentina among the favourites to lift the trophy.
