As the 2026 season approaches its conclusion, an era defined by brilliance, resilience, and unforgettable moments is drawing to a close at Liverpool FC. Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah is set to depart the club, marking the end of one of the most remarkable individual careers in Premier League history.
Football, as often said, reminds us that nothing lasts forever. For Salah, one of the brightest stars of his generation, the curtain is gradually falling after years of extraordinary service marked by skill, passion, and relentless commitment both on and off the pitch.
When Liverpool signed Salah from AS Roma in 2017 following an earlier, less successful spell at Chelsea FC, many pundits expressed doubt. Few could have predicted the historic impact he would go on to make at Anfield.
Nine years later, those doubts have long been silenced.

Salah leaves behind a legacy defined by staggering numbers and glittering silverware. His record of 281 Premier League goal contributions for Liverpool stands as the highest by any player for a single club in the division’s history.
His dazzling dribbles, clinical finishing, and trademark smile made him a constant nightmare for defenders and a beloved figure among fans.
During his time at Liverpool, Salah reached the pinnacle of club football, winning the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League title, and the FIFA Club World Cup, the FA Cup, among other honours.
Individually, he also rose to become one of Africa’s finest, earning multiple awards and cementing his place among the continent’s football greats.
Beyond statistics, Salah’s journey tells a deeper story, one of perseverance and belief. From a player once doubted to a global icon, his rise underscores a powerful truth. Success often comes to those who refuse to give up, “NEVER GIVE UP” who continue to put in the “extra work” despite challenges.
Yet, as he prepares to exit the Merseyside stage, questions linger. Has the rhythm changed at Liverpool, or is this simply football’s natural cycle? Has the drummer stopped, or has the dance reached its graceful end?
More importantly, who will rise to carry forward the legacy he leaves behind?
For now, fans in England, Egypt, and across the footballing world can only reflect on the extraordinary career of a player who did not just meet expectations, but redefined them.
As Mohamed Salah takes his final bow in Liverpool colours, one thing remains certain: his records will echo long after the music fades.
