CHAN Eagles
Coach Salisu Yusuf has praised the CHAN Eagles improvements at the NPFL Invitational Tournament, while also saying he hopes to take a look at some new call-ups before he picks his final squad for the championship in Morocco next month.
The home-based Eagles beat MFM FC 3-2 to top the NPFL Invitational Tournament in Kano at the weekend.
The CHAN-bound team have now begun training in Abuja.
“I am very impressed with the team,” Yusuf said.
“We did not have any elaborate preparation before the Super Six tournament and yet these boys raised their game, improved with every match and won the trophy.
“I congratulate them, but this is the beginning of real hard work for us.”
The coach has already called up Tosin Omoyele and Sadiq Yusuf from Plateau United to his provisional squad.
“We want to also see some new players in certain positions and correct some mistakes we made during some of our games in Kano while strengthening and consolidating on our strong areas,” Yusuf added.
