Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was given a warmer reception than usual when he returned to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Wednesday night.
The centre-back, who was born in Andalusia and started his career at Sevilla – his boyhood club – upset Los Rojiblancos fans by defecting to Los Blancos in 2005.
Since then, plenty of water has passed under the bridge as the 32-year-old has returned ‘home’ on many occasions but always copped stick and unpleasantries from the fans that used to sing his name.

But, during this week’s La Liga contest, in which Sevilla won 3-0, the home support decided not to jeer their former player too much and instead back the hosts to a resounding victory.
Marca reports Ramos was given a fairly easy ride this time around as Sevilla supporters roared their side to success on the pitch instead.
