Sign Hazard over Neymar, Courtois pleads with Real

Thibaut Courtois would rather Real Madrid signed Eden Hazard than Neymar this summer.

Madrid are looking for their next star player following on from Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the club in the summer.

Neymar has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, along with Chelsea’s Hazard.

And it is his Belgian team-mate who Courtois would like to see at the club in the summer.

The pair played alongside eachother for four seasons at Stamford Bridge before Courtois opted for a switch to Madrid, and he would love to link-up again with the forward.

“I [would] choose Eden, of course,” Courtois told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad. “I really like him, but the choice is up to the board.

“I do not know what will happen. That is not a question for me, but for the chairman and the management.

“The team is what it is now. Karim Benzema is in a good shape and scored 17 goals. [Gareth] Bale started well, but then had to deal with injuries.

“You see in the matches that we have quality, only sometimes it is not possible to score.”
