Ferguson and Raiola clashed over Pogba's contract
Mino Raiola clashed with the then United boss Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2012, after Paul Pogba angled for a move away from Old Trafford with his agent’s backing.
Sir Alex was recently giving a motivational talk to rugby side Sale Sharks, when the subject of Pogba’s notorious exit from the club was brought to attention.
The French midfielder was transferred on a free to Juventus after Ferguson was unwilling to meet his agent’s demands, with United left humbled when they sealed Pogba’s return for a record £89 million last summer.
‘Paul Pogba? He had a bad agent. A s***bag. Paul Pogba was well known to us. We knew he was a good player. He’s still a good player. We offered him the best contract’, the 75-year-old said.
It is not the first time the Red Devils legend has aired his views about the representative in question: ‘There are one or two football agents I simply do not like, and Mino Raiola is one of them’, he wrote in his autobiography.
