The judge in charge of the investigation has granted bail for Villar, his son Gorka and Juan Antonio Padron, understanding they are no longer a threat to the case.
High court magistrate Santiago Pedraz dictated on Monday that Angel Maria Villar could be set free if the 300,000 bail is met, and could therefore leave the prison he entered on July 20.
The judge, however, has barred the detainees from leaving Spain by confiscating their passports. They will have to be permanently on-call via their mobile phones.
