‘Our sports administrators should do more’, Shehu Sani reacts to Super Falcons’ defeat

Former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has called on the Nigerian Sports administrators to do more in terms of motivating athletes.

He said this while reacting to the Nigerian Super Falcons’ defeat to the Three Lioness of England at the knockout stage of the ongoing Women’s World Cup.

“We are proud of the Performance of the Super Falcons. Our Sports Administrators should do more to motivate our players,” Sani tweeted.

Recall the Super Falcons of Nigeria lost to the Lioness of England 4-2 on Penalties on Monday after it ended all square (0-0) after 120 minutes in the Brisbane Stadium.

However, amidst the encomiums showered on the Super Falcons by Nigerians, the former lawmaker who served in the 8th National Assembly between 2015-2019 did not only praise the Super Falcons but also criticised the Nigerian Sports Administrators for not motivating the team enough.

Similarly, the Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum also complained that the NFF owes him seven months’ salaries while some of the Falcon players are still owed match bonuses spanning two years.
