Ijebu Ode-based football club, Stars Builders Academy, is set to embark on a pre-season tour of Ghana ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Nationwide League (NLO) season.
The club’s chairman, Kayode Momoh, revealed that the main aim of the tour is to extend the club’s frontiers beyond Nigeria and seek collaboration with organizations of similar values across West Africa.
“The primary goal of this trip for us is to meet and collaborate with clubs of similar values beyond our borders,” Momoh said.
“This trip itself is a result of our strategic partnership with FA Sports, https://www.transfermarkt.com/fa-sport/beraterfirma/berater/5201Â a UK-based sports agency. We started working with them when they facilitated the transfer of our player, Segun Otusanya, to Norway, and they are currently working on taking two other players from our club to the Scandinavian country in January.”
During their stay in Ghana, Stars Builders Academy will play friendly games against lower division sides AS Koppan and Union Sportive D’avranches.
The NLO is the third tier of the Nigerian football league system. Stars Builders Academy gained promotion to the league for the first time in their history at the end of the 2022/23 season.
