Shooting Stars striker Sunday Adetunji is close to joining fellow Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Abia Warriors.
The Ocendo Babes are in dire need of a sharp shooter ahead of the next NPFL season and it appears they now have their man.
Adetunji is training with the squad in Calabar and looks convinced of a move to the team managed by Felix Okey Emordi.
“He (Adetunji) is 99% our player for the next Nigeria Professional Football League season,” an insider at Abia Warriors told Goal.
“The camp has been buzzing with talented players and Adetunji is one of those that will make us great next season. We believe he will give us something special when the season gets underway.”
Goal can confirm that Shooting Stars are willing to let the striker go and are currently engaged in financial terms regarding the transfer, after the forward agreed personal terms with Abia Warriors.
Adetunji is one of Shooting Stars’ most influential players and impressed heavily during the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign.
