The immediate past Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Chief Sunday Dare, will be honored with ‘NUJ Lifetime Achievement Award’, on Thursday 19th October 2023.
The award will be presented to Dare at the NUJ Family/Veterans’ Day Event to be held at Dapo Aderogba Hall, Press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan.
This is part of the activities scheduled to mark the 2023 Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, from 15th through to 27th October 2023.
As a veteran journalist, Dare has almost 3 decades of journalism experience both nationally and internationally.
The NUJ Council, in a statement released on Wednesday 18th October 2023, stated that; “It is the most significant day in the union, because of the involvement of Leaders, Veterans and Senior Journalists. It is called Family/Veterans’ Day’,
The Chairman of the occasion is Ambassador Yemi Farounbi, while other special guests include Chief Sunday Dare; Prof Deolu Akande; Ambassador Debo Akande amongst others. Special recognition/awards would be conferred on these special guests as our Great Ambassadors”, the statement reads in part.
