Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has confirmed his attendance for the Nigeria National League Super 4 opening ceremony.
The season-ending tournament, which is scheduled for the Remo Stars Complex, Ikenne, will see four Nigeria Premier Football League-bound clubs: Inter Lagos, Sporting Lagos, Doma United and Ranchers hunt for the NNL title from May 4 to 8 this year.
The enticing mix of these four clubs in the South -West has set up an almost week-long fiesta in the country.
Among the top sports personalities who will grace the opening day of hostilities is the former Minister of Sports and Youth Development.

Dare, who has been impressed by the fast-paced evolution of the ‘Most Important League’ under the leadership of George Aluo, has promised to witness the tournament, just as he did last year at the Super 8 in Asaba, Delta State.
Dare, while confirming his attendance, noted that what the NNL is doing aligns with the vision of the soccer-loving number citizen of the country, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who wants to use sports as one of the sectors to drive the nation’s overall development.
“The NNL is doing very well, and that is why I identify with their programs. On the whole, I want to commend the NFF for turning around the domestic leagues.
“The transformation that is taking place in NNL is the same in NPFL, and this is good for our football.
“It also aligns with President Tinubu’s vision to use the sports sector to drive the nation’s development,” Dare said.
It would be noted that the NNL has continued to get better in the last three seasons as situation that has seen corporate bodies identifying with the league.
