Wenger believed the uncertainty over his future hurt Arsenal’s chances of success last season and Ramsey is relieved that the Frenchman has extended his 21-year reign at the Emirates.
Arsenal players are happy that Arsene Wenger has signed a new-two-years deal. He added that all the media speculation was difficult for the team. “It is hard when all that speculation is going on. As a player you trz to put it to the back”, the midfielder said.
Ramsey, who scored the decisive goal at the FA Cup final against Chelsea added: ” We’re glad now that is has finally been announced he’s staying. We are all happy.” Last season they ended in 5th position.That means they will not play at the next season´s Champions League.
Nevertheless, Ramsey is optimistic about a good start into the season: “Hopefully now we can start the season strongly and have a real good go, not just ourselves but for him as well”, Ramsey added.
