The Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Community Engagement, Hon Oluwafemi Fadairo, has called on governments at all levels to support grassroots sports.
Fadairo stressed the need to develop grassroots sports in the state urging the state and local government to invest in grassroots sports and promote grassroots sports development as a means of discovering new talents in the country.

He stated this during the inter-house sports competition brought by St. Patrick, St Joseph, and St Monica’s RCM school, said sports competition can be used in identifying and nurturing local talent.
According to him, organizing regular competitions and tournaments at the local level to scout young athletes and identify potential stars will also promote the benefits of sports for health and social development.
Fadairo, who is the patron and sponsor of the Green House, encouraged the young athletes to showcase their talents and learn the greatness of teamwork and togetherness, noting that this is necessary to develop more talents in sports across the country.
According to Fadairo, his presence at the event highlighted his dedication to promoting education, sports, and community engagement at the grassroots level.
He said “Investing in the development of young minds and bodies is never a waste, this is part of our efforts in helping shape the future of Ondo State’s next generation of talents and leaders,”
The Green House emerged victorious, accumulating an impressive 314 points, while the Blue House trailed closely with 285 points, with the Pink House securing third position with 275 points.
