Team Nigeria gears up for Africa Para Games

As the day for the commencement of the maiden edition of the Africa Paralympics Games draws nearer Team Nigeria is fully prepared to storm the games.

The Games which hold from 3rd -12th September in Accra, Ghana will serve as a prelude to the main All Africa Games scheduled to hold in Ghana next year.

According to the president, Paralympic Committee Nigeria (PCN) Sunday Odebode, the athletes have been training hard for the Games and they are fully ready for the podium to make the country proud.

Nigeria, Odebode disclosed will participate in wheelchair basketball (male and female), wheelchair tennis(male and female), and amputee athletics (male and female).

“I can state categorically that the team is fully ready and well prepared for the Games. Though it is not going to be an easy ride with the level of preparation adequately put in place, our athletes are in fully top gear, well equipped and prepared for the games,” he said

Also speaking, the PCN Secretary, Isah Suleiman, assured that all hands are on deck to ensure a successful outing for the team Nigeria stressing that the athletes are in a good frame of mind to make the country proud.
