There’s an argument for leaving Real Madrid ―Bale

Real Madrid’s Welsh forward Gareth Bale spoke to the Daily Mail about Neymar’s move to PSG in order to be the club’s new figurehead.

Bale gave an interview to the ‘Daily Mail’ in which he didn’t hesitate to talk about his possible departure from the Santiago Bernabeu in the near future.

The Welshman was asked about the possibility of moving to Manchester United this summer, similar to Neymar’s move to PSG, in order to move out of Cristiano Ronaldo’s shadow.

Despite admitting that he was very happy at Madrid, Bale explained: “Well there’s an argument for that.

“But I think the main thing, when you look back on your career, is that you look at your trophies. In the end that’s probably the most important thing.

The 28-year-old also revealed that he has no desire to be the number one man at Real Madrid: “I don’t really look into things like that. Some people do, some don’t. I’m not too bothered. I just want to go out on to the football pitch and enjoy my football.

“I want to do well for myself but I also want to try to help the team and win trophies. Just try to enjoy myself I think. That’s the main thing,” added Bale.
