Arsenal Legend, Thierry Henry has described Nigerian casava delicacy, fufu, as one of the tastiest meals he has taken in his adult life.
Henry who arrived Nigeria on Sunday for a Guinness promotional tour told Tribunesport at the Landmark Event Centre:” This fufu tastes good, I will have more of it when I get to London, you can see how smooth I find it, just tasty and enjoyable.
Henry, when asked to pick African players he enjoyed playing with maed Cameroon’s Lauen Etame, and the Nigerian duo of Victor Ikpeba and Nwankwo Kanu as three oustanding Africans he had as teammates.
”Lauren was a strong figure, very competitive and Ikpeba was like a big brother to me when I was a youngster at Monaco. He guided me very well but Kanu was simply the best.
”He was very tricky, the cameras were always on him whenever he had possession because they knew they would have great shot to take from his moves, he was dazzling and I am privileged to be a teammate of his,” said the World Cup winner with France at the 1998 edition.
Winners of the ‘Be A Front Row Fan’ National Consumer promotion of the Guinness Nigeria had the opportunity to watch the West Brom against Manchester United game and celebrate Made of Black moments with the football legend, Henry.
Others ex-Nigeria Internationals present at the event include Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Eguavoen and Victor Ikpeba, Peter Rufai among others.
