Thomas Muller and Toni Kroos grab the goals as home side dominate proceedings

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos fires home as Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller grabs brace in simple win

A TYPICALLY efficient performance from Germany saw them cruise to a 3-0 win over Czech Republic on Saturday night.

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller helped himself to a brace as Joachim Low’s men dominated proceedings in the World Cup qualifier.

Real Madrid playmaker Toni Kroos also got on the scoresheet thanks to some fine play from Joshua Kimmich, with Manchester City ace Ilkay Gundogan also making his first international appearance in almost a year.

Germany started strongly, with Julian Draxler and Mario Gotze threatening early on in their attacking midfield roles.

But it was Arsenal star Mesut Ozil who got the ball rolling as he laid on a sumptuous assist for Muller in the 13th minute.

The versatile attacker was found in acres of space as the befuddled Czechs pushed forward and easily slotted home to send supporters wild.

Despite dominating proceedings, Germany were unable to grab a second in the first 45.

But they started the second half in the best way possible when Kimmich cut inside from the right and teed up Kroos, who slotted home a first-time shot into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.

Muller then put the game beyond doubt in the 65th minute when he made contact with an outstanding cross from left-back Jonas Hector, with the Bayern man flicking the shot in from close range.

The Czechs thought they’d pulled one back in the dying moments of the game, but Tomas Sivok’s effort was ruled out for offside as Germany ensured they kept another impressive clean sheet.
